Ramesh Kale, Deputy Commissioner General Administration, while giving valuable tips to District Nodal Officers on election process yesterday.

Works like registration of new voters, deletion of duplicate names and updating of information help authorities remove inaccuracies in voters’ data and this error-free electors’ information was paramount for a smooth election process, said Ramesh Kale, Deputy Commissioner, General Administration. Kale who was speaking at the inaugural session of training for District Nodal Officers exhorted officials to ensure the voters’ data bank was free of any errors.  

Additional Collector Babasaheb Pardhe, Additional Collector Shirdi Balasaheb Kolekar, Resident Deputy Collector Rajendra Wagh, Deputy Collector Bhimraj Darade, Deputy Collector (National HAM Road Projects) Sharmila Bhosale, Ravindra Bharde (Land Acquisition), Shahuraj More (Rehabilitation), Atul Chormare (Ahmednagar), Sub-Divisional Officer Shirpur Pramod Bhamre, Sub-Divisional Officer Baban Kakade (Baglan), Appasaheb Shinde (Dindori), Mahesh Sudhalkar (Jalgaon), Nitin Sadgir (Malegaon), Tehsildar Manjusha Ghatge (Election Branch), Naib Tehsildar Rajesh Ahire along with nodal officers of all the districts were present.

Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kale said, nodal officers are going to assist the regional officers, so there is a need to coordinate with each other. The month of February is important from the point of view of election preparations and if everyone reads the election notification, election related guidelines, laws and rules and takes necessary notes in this regard, it will definitely be useful in the coming time.

Officials should learn about new online applications and use them. If the nodal officers train their team on the model code of conduct, the work will be done with vigilance regarding the necessary rules and instructions. The tender process should also be done by the authorities in time. The nodal officer also instructed that while uploading the nomination form of the candidates online, they should check all the details and the required fulfillments and upload them.

At yesterday’s training session, 16 important topics were highlighted. Deputy Collector Bhimraj Darade and Prant Officer Nitin Sadgir were among the participants.

Deputy District Election Officer, Nashik Dr Shashikant Mangarule said in the introduction, preparations have been started in line with the upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections. Election Code of Conduct is an important part of this and the Election Commission of India has indicated to appoint 16 types of Election Officers to assist the Central Election Officer.

Accordingly, we are appointing these officers and starting their training today. In that regard, the nodal officers should be aware of the new changes in the context of the election, information about the new apps, along with the information that has been made available for study on the website of the Election Commission, Dr Mangarule said in his introduction.
