Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan and Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare and Tribal Development Dr Bharati Pawar today arrived at Tapovan Maidan, the venue for the 27th National Youth Festival to be kickstarted by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 12.
Both the leaders undertook a short tour of the venue and did an assessment of the ongoing preparations for the extravagant event. During the inspections, they asked the administration to ensure there was proper food and roof arrangements in place for the foreign youth participants who would be descending upon the venue.
They also advised the authorities to draw out flawless plans to keep the traffic snarls at bay while urging them to ensure a “smooth” flow of traffic to and from the event site. Besides, they pressed for installation of proper drinking water outlets. On January 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the 27th National Youth Festival at Tapovan Maidan, Nashik.
