Tahsildar-cum-Executive Magistrate Nitinkumar Rajaram Deore hands over a Kesari ration card to visually challenged Vilas Ahire in presence of Supply Revenue Assistant Vilas Ghoderao and another staff.

It is bitter truth that people have to run from pillar to post for availing basic government services such as having a new ration card issued in their name or getting the benefits under the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Pension Yojana. For having an access to all these services they are forced to face a lot of hardships.

Moreover, the task becomes much more troublesome if the person seeking these services is a physically challenged one. On Tuesday, visually challenged Vilas Ahire found himself in a similar situation. But thanks to Tahsildar Nitinkumar Rajaram Deore’s timely intervention that Ahire was shortly out of this conundrum. Ahire came to the Tahsil office with an application for a new ration card in his name.

Ration cards will be issued on an urgent basis if all the requisite documents are attached with the application. No additional fee will be charged on the citizens apart from the government approved fee for the same. Citizens should directly submit their application with the supply office. They should avoid paying any extra fee to any middleman, Nitinkumar Deore, Tahsildar Malegaon

“Today visually challenged Vilas Ahire came to me with an application for a new kesari ration card. Seeing his plight, I decided to give an urgent disposal to his application as he was a differently-abled person. I gave clear instructions to the officer concerned and asked him to issue Ahire a new kesari ration card on an urgent basis,” said Nitinkumar Deore.

Acting swiftly on this instruction, Supply Revenue Assistant Vilas Ghoderao ensured Ahire got the kesari ration card today only. Ghoderao completed all the formalities such as scrutiny of documents etc and after doing that took Tahsildar Deore’ signature. Deore himself put his signature immediately on the ration card issued after a thorough scrutiny.

For Vilas Ahire, it was quite difficult to believe that he was getting the ration card in just one day. Overwhelmed by this unique gesture from Tahsildar Deore, Ahire thanked him and everyone else involved in the process and approval of his application.
