District and Additional Sessions Judge S B Bahalkar disposes a matter off via a video conference at the Lok Adalat on December 09, 2023. Malegaon Bar Association President Adv Chandrashekhar Deore assisted the panel.
As many as 360 pending and 403 pre-litigation cases were settled and Rs 8 crore and 75,000 were recovered at the Lok Adalat on December 09, 2023. District and Additional Sessions Judge S B Bahalkar who was on one one of the panels awarded Rs 5.50 lakh in damages to a person injured in a road accident in Pune’s Chakan back in 2021. Judge Bahalkar heard the matter via a video conference while granting the award. In this matter, Adv P M Kshirsagar, Adv S T Bhavsar, Adv D L Agrawal were for the applicant while Adv M R Khairnar was with the Reliance General Insurance.
The Lok Adalat was organised under the stewardship of District and Assistant Sessions Judge S S Kanthale who as the Administrative Head of Malegaon District Court is the incharge of the Taluka Legal Services Authority. District and Additional Sessions Judge K R Patil, Joint Civil Judge Senior Division and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate M P Bhavsar, S G Chimankar, J.M.F.C. U B Shriram were also part of the settlement forums.
Ad Hoc District and Assistant Sessions Judge S B Bhajipale was also among conciliatory forums. Adv Shabeena Ahmed, Malegaon Bar Association Secretary Adv Kishore Tribhuvan, Junior Representative Adv Rajendra Nikam and Rupesh Badhan of Legal Services Samiti were present.
A whopping Rs 25.50 lakh in damages was awarded to the kin of a person died in an accident. The matter that came up for an amicable settlement was disposed off after convincing of both the parties was successfully done. Ad Hoc District and Assistant Sessions Judge S B Bhajipale granted this award. In this matter, Adv L C Agrawal, Adv D L Agrawal represented the applicant while Adv P M Kshirsagar took side of insurance company of the ICICI group.
