In the wake of the rising number of ATM thefts and an increase in security-related issues, the Nashik Rural Police yesterday took a meeting with bank officials, bullion dealers, petrol pump owners and functionaries of other financial institutions to alert them on growing security related concerns.
Additional SP Aniket Bharati pointed out the benefits of teamwork in such scenarios and the need of concerted efforts in order to get results favourable to themselves as well as the police.
Assistant SP Teghbir Singh Sandhu told the traders to ensure the CCTV cameras they were installing at their establishments were in good working condition and kept a back-up of at least two-three months.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer Nitin Ganapure underscored the importance of sensors and sirens and how installation of these devices can prevent thefts and robberies at their establishments.
