Pravin Salunkhe takes charge of Addl Collector Malegaon, seeks close ties with public
Pravin Radhabai Krishna Salunkhe, a 2009-batch officer of the state service, today took the charge of Additional Collector, Malegaon. He has assumed new responsibilities after he was promoted by the state government. The post became vacant as his predecessor Devdatta Kekan was promoted to the District Caste Scrutiny Committee, Nandurbar, a few months ago.
In his previous capacity as a Deputy Collector, Salunkhe served as Special Land Acquisition Officer (No 21) in Satara district. Even before that, he worked in the Employment Guarantee Scheme and other departments in Nagpur and Pune Divisions. Now after seventeen years of service, he has been transferred to the Nashik Division.
Salunkhe comes armed with rich experience in planning and executing urban infrastructure projects, in an efficient and time-bound manner. In 2009, he joined the state services through a direct recruitment after he cleared the Deputy Collector’s examinations conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).
