Finally Malegaon gets a full-time Tahsildar in Nitinkumar Deore; to take charge on Monday

The Maharashtra government on Thursday transferred Nitinkumar Rajaram Deore as Tahsildar Malegaon. Deore has been working as Tahsildar Dharangaon in Jalgaon district for quite some time now. With this appointment, a long and painful wait of almost six months has come to an end.
The Voice of Malegaon got in touch with Tahsildar Deore on phone and asked him when he was likely to take the charge. To this he replied, “I will take the charge on Monday.” As Tahsildar Dharangaon, Deore has got some brick and bats as well as has received accolades from certain sections.
Interestingly, in 2019 the erstwhile Tahsildar Chandrajit Rajput was transferred to Malegaon from Dharangaon only. Since September 19 last year, the post has either remained vacant or been held by an acting Tahsildar. Last year Rajput was reportedly sent on forced-leave. Since then three acting Tahsildars have held the position.
Apart from Deore, the state Revenue and Forest Department has shifted three more Tahsildars and promoted an Additional Tahsildar rank officer.

Tahsildar Akrani (Nandurbar) Dnyaneshwar Pandit Sapkale will be Tahsildar Sindkheda in Dhule district, Tahsildar (Sakri) Pravin Chauhanke will now be Tahsildar Pachora in Jalgaon district. Similarly, Tahsildar (Parbhani) Sanjay Pundlikrao Biradar will now be Tahsildar Nevasa, Ahmednagar district.
Additional Tahsildar (Dhule) Sanjay Shinde has now been elevated to Tahsildar Ahmednagar.
Many social activist groups and political parties have held demonstrations over these many months for a full-time Tahsildar. Aamhi Malegaonkar Vidhayak Sangharsh Samiti has been at the front of these agitations.
They have held sit-in protests. Recently, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena functionaries met Additional Collector Maya Patole with a demand for a full-time Tahsildar.
These groups stated that due to absence of a full-time Tahsildar citizens are forced to face a lot of difficulties in getting their works done at the Tahsil office. Now that a full-time Tahsildar has been appointed it is likely to give the much needed momentum to day-to-day works at the Tahsil office.
